Bart Weiss

Bart Weiss is an award-winning filmmaker, educator and director/founder of the Dallas VideoFest. He is the producer of “Frame of Mind” on KERA TV and also hosts the podcast “The Fog of Truth.” He also spends his time as a professor of film at UT Arlington. He was also President of AIVF and spent some time as a columnist for The Dallas Morning News, and United Features Syndicate. He currently writes for Student Filmmaker Magazine, is an Apple Distinguished Educator and has MFA from Columbia University.

Raquel Chapa

Emerging filmmaker and curator Raquel Chapa recently completed her first short film, “Open Season,” an experimental documentary concerned with topics such as violence against women, which was made with support from SWAMP/Southwest Alternate Media Project in Texas. She participated in the 2009 Producers Academy of NALIP/National Association of Latino Independent Producers and is currently working on two documentary projects. She also previously worked as associate producer on Trail of Tears (d. Chris Eyre), a production in WGBH’s 2009 American Experience series “We Shall Remain”.

Rex McGee  

A native of North Texas, Rex McGee  is a protégé of the legendary filmmaker BILLY WILDER (“Some Like It Hot,” “Sunset Boulevard”), and he has sold over 20 scripts for film and television since graduating from the world famous USC film school. His credits include Warner Bros’ “PURE COUNTRY,” starring George Strait and Hallmark’s “WHERE THERE’S A WILL,” starring Marion Ross and Keith Carradine. McGee was formerly a Hollywood story analyst for UNITED ARTISTS, EMBASSY PICTURES and THE LADD COMPANY. A member of the Writers Guild of America, West, he leads private writing groups and teaches screenwriting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Raoul Torresi

Raoul is a Cinematographer from Rome, Italy and he belongs to a family that has worked in the cinema industry since 1935. He started working on the set when he was 18 years old with some of the most famous Italian Cinematographers. He has also worked as a Video Assist, Loader, Focus Puller, and Camera Operator. 

Patrick Bresnan & Ivete Lucas  

Meet Patrick and Ivete, the powerhouse art duo that are making waves in the art community. Bresnan, 40, also a visual artist and originally from Pennsylvania, has been taking photographs throughout Central Florida for the past 10 years. Lucas, 33, was born in São Paulo, worked as a filmmaker in Mexico, and also does video art. The couple, who live in Austin, Texas, are currently prepping Lucas’s foray into fiction filmmaking while finishing their collaborative, long-in-the-works feature doc, One Big Misunderstanding, about a Vietnam War reenactor. Bresnan is also finishing a film he recently shot about prisoners in California at the time of the festival. With many employers refusing to hire ex-cons, Bresnan has influenced others by starting a pilot program to teach prisoners how to become entrepreneurs and employ themselves. 

Atheena Frizzell 

Atheena Frizzell is an American film actress. She's the daughter of filmmaker and actress

Augustine Frizzell.  She’s known for Gbff (2013), Never Goin' Back (2018) and The Old Man & the Gun (2018). She also spends her time as a writer for various publications. 

Augustine Frizzell  

Augustine Frizzell was born on July 27th, 1979 in Garland, Texas. She is a director and actress known for Never Goin' Back (2018), Euphoria (2019), and Pete's Dragon (2016.) Her first feature, Never Goin' Back, premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight section and was released later that year by A24. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband, daughter and cats.

Marvin Robinson  

Marvin Robinson is the executive Producer of ATK PLN, who has 15+ years of commercial creation and production experience in the industry. Coming from a theatre background, he loved being a part of the team and process that made beautiful things come together. According to Marvin Himself, “I wanted to know all of it; I was a sponge. My professional life is really no different. I'm still in love with the process as much as then. Outside of that, I love being outside running, camping, hiking, or inside ballroom dancing with my wife.”
